General Information about Homestays for dogs
In conjunction with our dog training service Naked Dog Training, and our general dog website, Doglinks.co.nz, we are offering a home for your dog while you are away.
We know how difficult it can be to rely on friends, and family to look after your dog. Plans change.
Once you can't find someone to help your pooch find a temporary home, you resort to dog kennels. Some offer great facilities, but it might be crowded and if your dog isn't used to living with a room full of dogs, dog barks, and new people, then you might think of one on one family homestays.
Who we are and what we offer
Blair and Natalie are part of the Naked Dog Team. We offer dog training for those who would like one on one training in the comforts of their home. It just makes sense to extend our service to caring for your dog while you are away.

When your dog lives with us, he is learning our house rules, and our dog rules in conjunction with our dog called Holmes. Holmes is a 13 year old Border Collie/ Beagle. He's been our companion animal all his life. He will help teach your dog the house rules. Holmes gets on with everyone, and with most dogs.
Your dog will also benefit from daily teaching, and learning while on walks. We can provide feedback on some issues that you might be concerned with.
Services
If you are a former client of ours, we charge $20 per day. If you are not our client, we charge $30 per day. Price can be negotiated depending on the length of stay, and other factors. You will need to bring your dog food, your dog's bed or something that reminds him of home, and his/her favourite dog toy.
When you book with us, we require a non-refundable deposit. The deposit will depend on the number of days required for your homestay, and the time of the year.
